Robert Pattinson ‘Bella’s Little Bit of Treachery’

With “New Moon” hitting theaters this week, it seems fitting that the stars are already starting to reveal tidbits about the upcoming “Eclipse” flick. And if fans thought Bella gets taken for a ride in “New Moon,” they are in for a surprise once they hit theaters next year.

“I think Bella’s little bit of treachery in the third one will be … I think it’s going to be a good scene,” he told MTV News on the red carpet at the NYC screening of “New Moon.”

While the “Twilight Saga” has catapulted Pattinson to mega-stardom, he isn’t resting on his laurels. The trailer for his new film “Remember Me” came out Thursday (November 19), and it seems to have an equally drama-filled relationship — even if Pattinson doesn’t see the parallels. “It’s not very similar to ‘Twilight,’ ” he said. “[But] hopefully it will get the same fanbase.”

Kristen Stewart elaborated on the pain Bella is about to go through in the third movie. “I’m looking forward to seeing the love triangle actually becoming a problem,” she said. “We sort of innocently touch on it in ‘New Moon,’ but it actually becomes something that is very, very real.”

Stewart said seeing Bella grow and develop in the upcoming flicks will certainly prove interesting for her, as well as the Twi-Hards. “I’ve always backed her up in her devotion to Edward,” she said. “And to see that falter will be interesting.”

Robert Pattinson on David Letterman!

Robert Pattinson made his Late Show with David Letterman debut last night, and his choice of anecdotes will no doubt encourage Twihards to Twiharder. Though he couldn’t explain why he elicits such a strong response from fans wherever he goes — ”I don’t know, maybe it’s like a kind of scent or something” — he shared a story that shows devotion can have its rewards. Back in 2007, when he was in Spain filming his role as Salvador Dali in Little Ashes, there was a girl who waited outside his apartment every day for about three weeks. “I was so chronically bored that just one day…. I said, ‘Hey, do you want to just go to dinner or something? I mean, no one else wants to hang out with me.’” The girl’s parents had a restaurant, where she took him. “I kind of complained about everything in my life for about two hours, and then she gave me the bill at the end. I had to pay for it, and then [she] was never back outside my apartment ever again.”

Discussing how both daughters and their mothers are now Robsessed, Pattinson said it doesn’t stop there. He’s noticed that a few more guys are into the Twilight series now, including a 230 pound man who asked him to bite him at Monday night’s premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. “So I did. And the surprising thing was, I kinda liked it afterwards,” he said, tongue firmly in cheek. “And then I’ve been out to dinner with him a couple of times since.” But seriously, how does he respond when someone asks him to bite her? “Well, it depends on your mood, really,” Pattinson said. “And it depends, you know, what you want to get out of it in the end. There’s variations of biting.”

As for the rest of the interview, Letterman was on a fact-finding mission, and, I believe, almost got Pattinson to answer the big question: Are he and costar Kristen Stewart officially dating? Dave played dumb holding up the duo’s Harper’s Bazaar cover. “This is you and Kristen Stewart, is that correct? You’re actually dating her. Am I right about that?” Letterman asked. “I’ve been so kind of cryptically avoiding this question throughout the entire press tour…,” Pattinson answered. It sounded like he wasn’t finished, but Letterman heard a pause and filled it with a joke. “Ah, bite me. What do I care?”

Letterman also wanted to get to the bottom of the vampire craze: “The novels and the young girls and the vampires, can anybody explain that?” he asked. Pattinson couldn’t — he said he always looks at the negative aspects of a character he’s playing, so he never saw Edward as the ideal man or his relationship with Bella as the perfect romance. Luckily, Dave had a theory of his own to float by Rob. He was alone once in a house out West when a bat woke him up. ”I thought it was creepy that a bat was flying around, and I can imagine what a 16-year-old girl would think of a bat flyin’ around in her bedroom. I would think she would think that would be creepy as well. So, you know, add that up for me,” Letterman said. Again, Pattinson had no answer. Can you blame him?

ABC News Interviews Rob, Kristen and Taylor.

rkt-1.jpg

The “Twilight” series may have changed the lives of fans worldwide, but perhaps no one has been more affected by its success than the three stars of the film: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

All became overnight sensations when they were introduced to the novel’s millions of fans as the faces of Edward, Bella and Jacob — the three high-school students with mystical secrets at the center of the story. Edward is a vampire, Jacob is a werewolf and Bella is the ordinary teenage girl loved by both of them.

Pattinson, 23, Stewart, 19, and Lautner, 17, went from bit parts to big stars with the first “Twilight” film. As they prepare for the release Friday of the anticipated sequel, “New Moon,” the young cast reflected on the ups and downs of newfound fame.

AP: What is the best thing to come out of the “Twilight” mania for you?

Stewart: It’s the same satisfaction that I get from any other movie, it’s just that so many more people are paying attention. I always say I make movies for the life experience — literally, you steal from the characters you play — and to know that that’s actually affecting 100 million not only little girls, but really spans the ages of people, it just feels good. It’s so different from anything I’ve ever experienced, so that’s definitely the best thing.

Pattinson: Presenting at the Oscars and stuff, it’s just kind of so surreal. But there’s little things, like recently I’ve been working on the “Remember Me” trailer and I had very little time to organize it, but the control you’re given because of “Twilight’s” success is kind of incredible. It is an amazing feeling.

Lautner: It’s traveling the world in general and seeing this kind of fan support worldwide. We go to Sao Paolo, Brazil, and then we go to Mexico City, we go all over the world and we have fans there with the same amount of passion everywhere we go. It’s just amazing to know we have that kind of fan support behind us.

Robert Pattinson Willing to Watch Himself!

pattinson-A-0912-01.jpgAfter months and months of hype, “New Moon” finally descended upon Hollywood with a star-studded premiere on Monday evening - filled with wildly devoted fans, some of which had been lining up to be front of the line since Thursday. But has all the attention changed Rob Pattinson’s perspective of himself?

Months ago Pop Tarts caught up with Edward Cullen phenomenon who was quick to declare that he wasn’t exactly a fan of his own face.

“I never watch my stuff, ever,” he said. “I just hate it. Nothing good can come out of watching yourself.”

But after catching up with him again during the promotional leg of “New Moon”, it seems Pattinson has had quite a change of heart.

“I was just like (raises eyebrows) ‘ok that was a good movie’ and I never think that about my stuff ever,” Pattinson said regarding “New Moon.” “I just watched it and I kind of want to watch it again. You can’t really have a better reaction than that.”

But despite the chaos that seems to around the “New Moon” cast and Pattinson in particular, the actor said the whole phenomenon has been “nothing but positive.”

“The only difficult thing is when people get into crowds,” he added. “It becomes hysterical and it’s mainly because you can’t please anyone so people start chasing you and that’s the difficult part. But if you’re just on the street and one person comes up to you - I don’t think I have had a single bad experience in that type of situation.”

And for all the millions of dedicated/obsessed “Twilight” peeps out there, it turns out R-Patz actually thought you were weird until just recently.

“Two girls were outside of the set when we were filming ‘Eclipse’, they flew in from Alabama or somewhere. You kind of sit and watch them looking waiting there for like three days all day and you think ‘why are these people waiting outside in the cold? Are they kind of weirdo’s or something?’” he said. “Then someone else got out of their car just before me and I was like ‘okay, well now when I get out what is it going to look like?’ So I got out and they were just fans that really just liked it and the only thing they wanted to do was have a closer experience with it. They were completely normal lovely people.”

First Details From Robert Pattinson’s “Ellen” appearance.

rob-pattinson-2.png Pattinson’s parents and sisters were in the audience for his taping, which airs on Friday. He told DeGeneres he was proud of his body for the first time in his life when he watched “New Moon.”Apparently he isn’t the only one feeling comfortable these days. Pattinson revealed to DeGeneres that a woman in a crowd had asked him how she could get his attention, and he jokingly suggested she could get naked.

And she did.

Forget Edward Cullen. It’s Robert Pattinson whose powers are superhuman.

Parade Interview with Robert Pattinson.

twilight-pattinson-1116.jpg

Robert Pattinson turned millions of females around the world into frenzied fans when they saw him heat up the screen in Twilight as the heartthrob vampire Edward Cullen. And the love continues as Pattinson returns in New Moon. Parade.com’s Jeanne Wolf got up close and personal with the devilish and charming 23-year-old superstar. Pattinson shared his thoughts on being romantically challenged and getting a handle on becoming an overnight celebrity.

The love bug bites the deepest.

“What’s interesting about this story is that it’s supposed to be about this all-powerful immortal creature. But he’s completely destroyed just by falling in love with this normal girl. He can’t control anything afterwards. His entire life turns upside down. So I guess love can be more lethal than a vampire bite.”

A new perspective on relationships.

“Getting involved in Twilight has definitely changed my mind about how people are kind of fanatical about wanting to have the perfect relationship. I had no idea that people were so desperate and felt like it was so unobtainable. They want to put this idea of unconditional devotion just so high above everything else, which is why they can’t get enough of this story.”

Advice to the lovelorn Bella.

“I keep wanting to tell people who think she should choose between Edward or Jacob that she should choose someone else. Jacob seems like the perfect viable option at the beginning of “New Moon”, but he turns out to be just as tortured as Edward is. So I guess Bella is just an unlucky girl.”

Breaking up was hard to do.

“There was something weird about doing that scene where Edward tells Bella he’s never going to see her again. Millions of fans see it as the ideal for a relationship. So breaking up the ideal relationship is pretty daunting. As for a breakup like that in my own life, I can’t think of one.”
